The God of answers – Preaching
Preaching Outline on Luke 20:26 – “And they could not catch him in any word before the people; and they marveled at his answer, and held their peace.”
Introduction to Luke 20:26
The Lord Jesus was observed and tested in everything, but his authority stood above all things. People wanted a word and they got it. They wanted answers and they got them. All within the Word.
Development
Today’s man is a questioning man. He wants answers to everything.
How many times do we think we have the right to question God? To find some argument, some word to justify ourselves, to argue or justify some difficult situation we’re going through. But our God, my brothers and sisters, is flawless, without error.
Our God is perfect. He is a God of answers.
Every time we come to worship, the praise or the message always brings God’s answers to our questions. We don’t deserve it, but the Lord answers us. He is a God of answers. We don’t leave the service without a word from the Lord. Our arguments fall flat.
God’s answer makes man fall silent. There are no arguments to God’s answer. God’s answer is sovereign.
Conclusion of Luke 20:26
What is the answer you need today? What is your question? We have no right to question God about anything, but he is merciful, he is a God of answers, and his answers demolish all our arguments, they make us shut up.
Sometimes a struggle is an answer, a blessing is an answer, praise is an answer, a word is an answer. The Lord never leaves his servants empty. He is a God of answers.
