Preaching Outline on Ecclesiastes 11:6 – “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withdraw your hand, for you do not know which will prosper; whether this, that or both will be equally good.” Ecclesiastes 11:6
We are living in the prophetic moment before the rapture of the Church. In these last days, the Lord is in a hurry to reach the heart of man, and our desire is to bring to those who don’t know the Lord the same experience we have had before Him.
“Sow your seed in the morning…” The Lord’s mercy is renewed every morning. It’s the beginning of a new stage. It’s getting up, being on your feet, being prepared to carry out the Work and we already start at dawn, seeking the Lord.
The seed is the Word (Jesus). The Lord’s desire is for the Church to sow the seed in the earth, which speaks from the heart of man.
“…in the evening do not withdraw your hand…” Resistance arises, but the Lord’s advice is to persevere. It’s “do not withdraw your hand”. Hand speaks of work and the work of evangelization is daily and continuous: visits, serenades, vigils… It’s not getting discouraged, it’s being of good cheer.
“…you do not know which will prosper…” The call is in the Lord’s time, the seed is planted, but in the Lord’s time it will sprout. Some sprout quickly, others take time, but the precious seed is still there.
When we are faithful and follow the Lord’s instructions, we see the results. Many are coming thirsty and marveling, because God has spoken to their hearts, and the precious seed that is Jesus has sprouted leading many to reach the Lord’s salvation.
