Wait on the Lord – Preaching

Preaching Outline on Psalms 27:14 – “Wait on the Lord, be encouraged, and he will strengthen your heart; therefore wait on the Lord. “

Development

Throughout Psalm 27, David expresses an intense longing for God’s presence. This passage comes as a word of renewal for our lives. Throughout the chapter, David fears nothing, but trusts in the Lord with all his heart.

Life’s struggles and difficulties often make us lose hope, but our hope is in Jesus, the son of God, who is the Savior of our souls. Those who have Christ in their lives fear nothing, but trust and rest in the Lord, for he is the certainty of victory. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”. (Psalm 23:1)

David also pleaded with God to hear him and not forsake him. Above all, he asked the Lord to teach him to walk in his ways. There are many offers in this world, but when we put ourselves in the same position as David, of always seeking the Lord’s ways, he strengthens us and enables us to continue walking.

To paraphrase the first verse of this chapter:“The LORD is my light and my salvation; of whom shall I be afraid? The LORD is the strength of my life; whom shall I fear?

We fear nothing of this world, because we have access to salvation. Jesus has already suffered our pain on the cross of Calvary.

Conclusion

Are you worried? Afraid? Hopeless?
Give your life and your worries to the Lord Jesus, because he wants to give you a life of peace and joy.

Maranatha. The Lord Jesus is coming!
